Our Story

Born from a Love of Real Tacos

Tequero Tacos was born out of a simple conviction: Makati deserved a proper Mexican taqueria — not a Tex-Mex chain, not a fusion experiment, but the real thing. Tucked inside Oakridge Plaza on Santiago Street, we set up an open kitchen, sourced fresh ingredients, and started pressing masa by hand every single day.

Our name is a play on words — te quiero means "I love you" in Spanish, and we want every guest to feel that love in every bite. From the slow-braised birria that took months to perfect to the garlic camaron tacos that became an instant crowd favorite, every item on our menu is made with obsessive attention to flavor and freshness.

We are an unpretentious spot — no glitzy signage outside, no flashy interiors. Just a warm, industrial space, attentive staff, and the kind of taco that makes you cancel your next reservation so you can stay a little longer.
